Frequently Asked Questions
Why Are Your Prices So Reasonable?

I reduced my prices during the recession and never really got around to putting them up again. Also, these days I don't need as much as I used to, mortgage is paid, kids are all through school.  Also, most people look at the videos and book on-line these days so this saves alot of time and the saving is passed on to you.
If you feel more comfortable booking me, I can charge you 1200 euros like I used to :)
What is your style?

I would describe my style of wedding video as very definitely documentary style, it's all about the events and the people that will be there on your wedding day, so somebody watching your wedding video in 100 years time will have the full story of what happened with nothing left out.
Do you do the cinematic arty style if I want it? Give me a phone call and we can talk about the difference between cinematic/arty and documentary style, and I think I know which one you will go for when you have all the info.
What type of camera do you use?

That is like asking a racing car driver what type of tyres does he use, the answer is that there is a different camera for each different situation, for the arrivals and bride arriving, shaking hands with everyone afterwards , you dont want a big camera in your face, so I use a small Sony EX1 Pro video camera, then for the speeches, so I will not have to shine a video light in your face, I use a $22k Sony 350 broadcast camera, a bit big but great in low light and it allows me to be much farther back from the speaker at this sensetive time.
Do you use a drone? I do bring a drone with me but as it is very weather dependent, I don't advertise it as part of the service, but I will use it if weather permits.
Do you use a SLR type camera for videoing my wedding?  No, only Professional grade, Sony video cameras
What type of training/experience have you?

I have photographed and videoed over 1000 weddings, fror the past 25 years. I did my formal training at Bournville College Of Art in Birmingham and served my time under Terry Walsh, a senior producer for the BBC, then running his own video production company in Moseley, Birmingham.
I moved to Ireland in 1999 and have been working at weddings here ever since.
